![]() Cross Training It is quite a testament to human strength to watch the Ironman Triathlon. It starts with a 2.4 mile swim, then a 112 mile bike ride, and finally a 26.2 mile marathon run. There is one key ingredient to these athletes being able to succeed in all of these areas. They can't be strong in just one area and succeed in the event. They must be strong in all areas to gain the prize at the end of the race. As Christians we can't pretend to think that we can focus on just one area of our lives and we will succeed in the Ironman Triathlon of life. We must be strong in many areas in order to run the race and receive the prize at the end. There is a tool that we learn about from these great tri-athletes that we believe we can use in our lives as Christians. Cross Training! The men of TimberRidge Community Church are going to cross train. We are not just going to focus on how to be Christians, but how to be biblical husbands, fathers, friends, and so much more. 2 Timothy 2:15 says that "We are to be diligent to present ourselves approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed , accurately handling the word of truth." We are going to be diligent to train ourselves to be these things; men who are not only workman but accurate handlers of the word of truth.
